The Velvet Apple

The Velvet Apple

Serves four

Ingredients

  • 150ml Edwards English Potato Vodka
  • 750ml Cloudy Apple Juice
  • 100ml Dark Spiced Rum
  • 1 Star Anise
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 3 Cloves
  • A Teaspoon of Ground Ginger
  • Garnish: 1 Apple – cut into half moons & 4 Star
  • Anise (1 per glass)

Equipment

  • 4 x Copper Goblets with Handles
  • Glass Cups with handles Saucepan with Lid Large Stirring Spoon Jigger

Method

    1. Pour the apple juice into the saucepan and add the dried spices.
    2. Put the lid on. On low heat, gently bring the liquid to the boil.
    3. Once it boils, turn off the heat and add the vodka and rum. Gently stir and leave for 5 minutes.
    4. Serve. Decorate with a half-moon of apple and a star anise in each serving.
