English Spirit Conquers the US
While the English are famous for their superior brew, it’s usually of the tea variety, so we’re doubly proud that we’ve achieved international recognition for a brew of a different kind. Less than a year since it was first launched, our Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur has claimed a Double Gold Award and the title of Best in Class at the coveted San Fran World Spirits Competition.
This is one of our proudest achievements so far; to achieve Double Gold the coffee liqueur was awarded a gold rating by all 25 judges. For Best in Class, our newest spirit was then pitched against all other Double Gold achieving spirits in its class, before being selected as the stand-out for 2021!
There was recognition for Edwards 1902 English Potato vodka too, which was awarded Bronze for its taste profile.
The San Fran World Spirits Competition
First founded in 2000, the San Francisco world spirit competition is recognised as the largest, most influential competition of its kind. For some awards there’s an underlying amount of bias given to a brand’s reputation, price and how well regarded the brand is as a whole. The San Fran World Spirits Competition do things a little differently and that’s what makes it a competition like no other.
A panel of 25 of the most respected, experienced experts in the spirits industry taste each product individually and determine whether it is worthy of Bronze, Silver or Gold. The overall score of the product is based on the majority’s opinion.
